Bible study sessions take place after the Sunday worship service.
November’s Bible study sessions will feature a series of conversations between Hebrew scriptures (Old Testament) and Christian scriptures (New Testament). The first three Sundays (Nov. 6, 13, 20) will look at how the Hebrew prophets influenced and shaped the faith and ministry of Jesus, as well as how Jesus made use of the words of Hebrew prophets. Finally, on Nov. 27, the first Sunday of Advent, we will begin our journey to Christmas by exploring the differences in the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ birth–how these differences echo Hebrew scripture and how favorite Christmas carols highlight the differing details.
