On Palm Sunday, April 10, the raindrops and snowflakes took a break ….
…to allow the children to make las alfombras (flower carpets) in front of Plymouth.
For the first time in 2 years, we were able to celebrate this tradition in person!
New friends were made.
The creations were singularly beautiful.
Lots of colorful flowers to choose from, thanks to donations from local florists.
A rainbow of flowers!
The joyful scattering of handfuls of petals.
Great care taken to make the best choice of color.
The carpet even extended to the ramp, to soften the path of all who would exit.
And then, just like in Central America, the procession began, and the beauty was swept away.
