Sunday LIFT - Summer 2019

  • June 30 – The water was poured to get us started and Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries Kim Looney led us in our first Sunday of LIFT (Living in Faith Together)

  • Together, multiple generations explored the story of Noah’s Ark.

  • We broke bread together.

  • And over snack, we explored such questions about the Noah story such as “what was it like to have so much rain?” “Have you ever experienced flooding?”

  • Everyone had something to share about the story of Noah’s Ark.

  • We laughed, sang and prayed together.

  • And we built our own boats.

  • Finally, we tested our boats to make sure they could float!

  • On July 7 we explored the story of Moses parting the Red Sea.

  • We ate parting-of-the-Red-Sea cupcakes! Can you find Moses with his staff and the fish in the water.

  • All generations participated in conversation and prayer.

  • We attempted to part the waters with small straws…

  • … and large straws.

  • Such fun to play together!

  • God making bitter water better was the focus of LIFT on July 14. See the water we flavored with drink powder?

  • Children and Adults shared the reading of Exodus 15:22-26 together.

  • We put paintbrush to paint….

  • … and worked together…

  • … concentrating hard…

  • … to create beauty out of water.
