Rev. Craig French will lead worship and preach. Craig is an ordained United Methodist pastor, most recently serving at University United Methodist Church before retiring and joining the rest of his family at Plymouth.
Quinn Caldwell is away, preaching and delivering the Chidester Lecture at Sylvania United Church of Christ in Toledo, Ohio. He will speak on what it means to be a Christian in the 21st century in a lecture Saturday afternoon and in a talk before worship Sunday.
Sunday’s music: In recognition of Martin Luther King day, the organ prelude and postlude are jazz settings of the familiar spirituals There Is A Balm in Gilead and Swing Low, Sweet Chariot. The choir sings anthems based on the thousand-year-old chant Creator of the Stars of Night and the folk hymn When I’m Afflicted, Poor and Low.
